    • Great product We bought this ball for our dog after she lost her FAVORITE ball that she had for two years. This is similar to the one that we had and it is a great replacement. She goes everywhere with it. The rope was a little too long so we just doubled the knot at one end and now when we throw it it goes farther with the extra weight of the double knot. No problems with it at all. We highly recommend this product. We also purchased two more for a friend of ours for his 2 dogs. It keeps them occupied with just chewing on the ball itself.     Dog loves it long lasting! Its surprisingly hard to find a dog toy that is durable and our dog will actually use. This toy with a slice of cheese keeps the dog away from barking all day and freaking out over the cleaners. Also great for cleaning teeth and tugowar. One of the dog's favorite toys after a bit getting use too. Overall great buy very happy with purchase.
    Rope soso for tough chewers but ball is GREAT Just bought another of these as a backup for our first what's left of that is finally on its way out after nearly three years. The rope literally didn't last 24 hours in our house but that ball is still going strong.To be fair we have a Belgian Malinois that has even killed Kong and Orbee toys the rope on this was shredded quickly. If you have a moderate to tough chewer the rope is still pretty sturdyon the order of the fire hosetype material toys.On the other hand the ball that you're left with if your dog also murders the tugthough it will have the hole in the center that accomodated the rope is dense tough and darned near indestructible. Ours still has a ton of bounce after nearly three years of constant rough play and the small rubber fingers incorporated in its ridges are also wellmade. Our dog is just now beginning to pick them out but it's had more than excessive wear and has stood up much much longer than we ever anticipated.
    Best Rope Ever This is the only rope that my golden has not been able to shred. She loves getting into ropes and ripping the little fibers out leaving a mess for me to clean up and eventually the rope has to be thrown out.
    Rope shreds quickly but the rubber ball is awesome! My female Beagle is a sweetheart but she is also The Destroyer when it comes to dog toys. The rope on this was shredded in less than 30 minutes. By one hour she had it completely destroyed and I pulled the remains from the ball.Now then the rubber ball is great! It is very rugged and it goes wild when it lands after being tossed and my dog just loves it like mad!I think Nylabone Co should make a dog tug toy with a 'rope' made of the same rubber material as the ball. Then I think my little destroyer would have a much longer lasting toy.
    Do not get this for the rope I have a 40 pound dog. She enjoys tearing toys to pieces. From reading other reviews I knew the rope would eventually fall apart. However being a Nylabone toy I expected it to last longer than what it did. WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR OF USE THE ROPE WAS COMPLETELY DISTROYED!!! That being said the ball is still in great condition and my dog loves to play with it.
    Very Good Sturdy Product Even though this was far too big for my 3month old Yorkie she enjoys playing with it. She mostly gnaws on the rope part she's not a chewer per se but she is teething and never passes on a good game of tug. The rubber ball will probably remain useless for her but it adds weight to the toy and she seems to enjoy thrashing it about and dragging it around the house.Sometimes I'll take a boneshaped dog biscuit get the ones marked for small & medium sized dogs break it in half and wedge it in the teeth of the rubber ball. That gives her another level of play with the toy and keeps her busy for a few minutes or when I'm tired of playing endless games of tug. I've not tried it myself but I imagine you could also stuff kibble peanut butter or other treats in those teeth.Our Golden Retriever plays with it occasionally but he's an older dog and would rather have tummy rubs and dog treats than perform tricks. Who wouldn't? Smart dog.Overall it's a good heavy sturdy toy. While the Yorkie has managed to mangle a few of her just her size toys picture headless stuffed animals scattered around the house she's barely put a dent in this one.
    It's big but seems to last! We have a 38 lb 18 month old border collie. And a 12 week old baby. So the border collie needs things to keep her occupied interactive and working while relatives visit. This fits the bill as well as their other pull toys which she still plays with. She loves teaching visitors to play and everyone seems to enjoy playing tug with her. This is a bit easier for older relatives to hold on to and people without a lot of hand strength grandparents. The football is quite big especially as our pup is such a tiny thing my last dogs were 70 lbs and 112 lbs so 38 lbs is a big change but she manages nicely. We've had it a few weeks and it still looks new despite daily play.
    dog LOVES this toy lasted forever This toy lasted over 7 years. My 40lb pit mix LOVES to play tug/fetch with it. Unfortunately it was thrown on our roof so I have to order a new one.
    Nylabone Rhino Rope Tug Toy All I have to say is the ball survived! I have two English Bulldogs puppies and they are heavy chewers. This rope didn't last long but the ball is great and they still like it for a toy. In all fairness our dogs destroy ropes pretty quickly so I'd recommend this toy for a less aggressive chewer.
