  • Orbee Ball I bought 3 orbee balls 6 months ago 1 small/2.5 inch and 2 Med/3.5 inch and they have held up very well. I currently have 3 dogs and my lab/GSD mix plays with hers all the time. It literally is the only toy I allow her to use unsupervised because it is very difficult for her to destroy and on average she plays with it 34 hours a day. Yesterday I noticed some cracking around the holes of her orbee ball so that one will need to be replaced shortly but the other 2 a Beagle and Lab plays with their orbee balls light to moderately and theirs still look brand new. So for any toy used heavily to last a dog 6 months is fantastic. Be aware that the continents WILL peel off rather easily as my GSD/lab conquered all of Europe after having it 20 minutes however the ball itself is one piece and holds up well. Also make sure you get a ball size appropriate to the size of your dogs MOUTH not the weight/frame of the dog.I think the people who didn't have success with this toy did not get the right size for their dog's mouth.
Orbee dog ball The map on the ball is suppose to come off. Depends on how aggressive a chewer your dog is determines how fast it comes off. It helps to clean their teeth. That is the idea behind the ball. The ball itself last a long time.
Indestructable No Tuff Yes. I bought oone of these for my crazy Dobie chewer. He destroys every toy we get him. So When I found this ball on Sale I figured Eh why not. I gave it to him and 10 mins later the raised parts of the world started falling off No big deal. We peeled the rest of the raised world parts off so now it is just a ball. He and my other Shep/Wolf mix are in love! Yes the toy isnt indestrucable but even if your dog peels off the raised parts the toy isnt destroyed!!! It still can be used at a ball! Im hooked. Dogs are hooked. We are happy.
Great ballbut 1 solid piece would make it excellent! Popeye my 10 month old English bulldog loves it and so do I. Yes it's tough but after 2 days he's started to remove the green land pieces. This ball would be perfect if it was all one solid piece. I'll definitely be purchasing more of orbee's 5 chomper rated chew toys. He still hasn't damaged the ball itself so it's a keeper.
I normally like Planet dog products My dog who is not a really aggressive chewer managed to pull parts of the continents off of the globe. I don't like that these are a possible choking/obstruction hazard for him. He likes the toy and the ball itself is pretty longlasting. But I just don't like him being able to pull off pieces of it.
Planet Dog Tuff Orbee Balls This is the most fantastic dog toy we have owned. My cocker/lab cross is not a real fan of tennis balls or other dog toy balls. He will fetch them once and then walk away. These balls he carries around ALL THE TIME. He will play for hours in the yard fetching them. You hardly ever see him without one of these in his mouth. When he has his ball his tail is wagging all the time. The only problem is he loves them so much he thinks he should hide them. He works very hard to hide them and we have to watch him so we can get it out of hiding later for him. He has hidden two of them so well we haven't found them for months.
Huge Fan Of Orbee GREAT Toy For Hardcore Chewers! Orbee toys have quickly become a favorite for both our six year old Old English Bulldog Harley and his partner in crime a six month old puppy of the same breed named Elvis. If you open the dictionary to Aggressive Chewers you should see photographs of both Harley and Elvis respectively. The material used to make these toys is unique in that it's softer and more pliable then Kong toys another favorite.Yet despite the softness Orbee toys hold up well although like any toy for aggressive chewers they're not indestructible. This ball is well designed with the pooch in mind and for us that's a significant plus.1 The large is a great size for any dog with the exception of toy and smaller breeds under 20 pounds.2 The 3 Dimensional raised parts of the globe are made of a denser material. These raised textured parts add extra chomping ecstasy for your furry friend while massaging gums and cleaning tarter of their teeth.3 Being hollow you can really crank up the crazy.Just add a cookie treat of even the filler made by Kong. Which I'm pleased to see has a new protein based formula free of gluten. The pink and blue globe is certainly eye catching which no doubt is irrelevant to our beloved dogs.
Continents come off but the remaining globe is great Yes the continents as well as the seal do come off easily all of them. To prevent my dog from ingesting them I actually preened them off myself. However the remaining globe is a great dog toy. I have a strong pitbull who loves to chew. There are not many toy choices for heavy chewers most my dog ignores nylabone antlers. She'd rather go for a rock For whatever reason she loves to chew on the orbeetuff and will chase it like crazy to sink her teeth into it. I love it because unlike the rocks it is soft and I don't have to worry about her teeth. The other toys my dog likes tires ropes etc. will be destroyed within hours. This ball the stripped down globe seems to last. This is the only toy she likes and that lasted. She got the first orbee 2 months ago and it's still intact.I just wish the company would listen to the hundreds of people complaining about the continents coming off and offer this ball without them.
Not as durable as they say continents come off My dog is small corgi mix but he's an aggressive chewer. We only used this ball for playing fetch and he was never left alone with it but within three weeks he had managed to start ripping off the continents and before I could get it away from him he ingested a few pieces. I would not recommend this ball for highly persistent chewers but I think the more casual chewer would be fine.
Perfect for the busy dog These toys were recommended to us to keep our Pointers busy when they were in their kennels and they have been perfect. Soft enough to keep your dogs' chewing habits from getting too strong yet tough enough to handle repeated freezings and chewing. We fill ours with peanut butter freeze them then give them to the dogs to keep them busy. We have repeated this cycle daily for almost a year and these toys look and feel as though brand new.
