Has out lasted all other toys Purchased the bone and ring in a combo pack from Costco. I have 3 dogs. They are relentless with their toys. They don't just chew they constantly pick and pull until the toy is destroyed. So I hesitate to buy toys. I have had these for 9 months still the dogs favorite toys and still fully intact.
most durable toy around In the year we've had our dog she has immediately or within a short period of time ripped up at least 10 toys. This is the first toy I bought and is the only one still around. Kudos to the manufacturer. I highly recommend this.
Fantastic if used as designed The large number of 1star and 5star reviews here might reflect the owners' approach. The instructions on this toy admittedly are somewhat vague but do state that it is not a chew toy and for supervised play only. If your dog destroys it quickly you are probably not using it interactively.Our 80pound Lab mix loves to try to disembowel anything that squeaks. The more he likes a toy the rougher he is on it. But we have managed to have great fun with this for 1520 minutes a day many days a week over many months with very little wear.
Longest Lasting Dog Toy We have a blue heeler that is a heavy chewer. We realize we'll have to replace toys within a few months if we're lucky of giving them to her. We were thrilled to find Tuffy Toys! They're made of very strong material but are still soft for the dog's mouth and are rated on a scale of 110 10 being the toughest. This particular toy is rated a 9. The stitching has held up quite well and we've had the toy for nearly a year now. This toy has three squeakers inside one at each end and one in the middle. While not all of them work anymore they're still all inside the toy. It has really held up to her chewing and is one of her favorite toys.We've tried other Tuffy Toys but have not ventured below 7 on the toughness scale. In the future we probably won't buy any of them below an 8 simply because she plays with and chews on them so much. If you have a dog that constantly destroys toys within days or even minutes I highly recommend this line of toys and specifically this toy.
Ultimate Stuffed Toy for Destructive Dogs Remarkably tough toy! Our dog 95 pound lab is a destruction machine and goes through most toys hard or soft it doesn't matter in hours. Most stuffed toys are gutted in minutes so I do not buy them anymore. This toy is the rare exception and really lasts. And for some reason he loves this silly stuffed boneshaped thing and carries it around like a prized possession. We have a ring shape version that we use outdoors and in the pool that is more than a year old. In the house he will eventually be compelled to eviscerate this like he did with its blue predecessor. Even unstuffed he still likes these toys.
Pretty good for a soft stuffed toy My dog did destuff this toy relatively quickly though it did take longer than the average stuffed toy. What I liked was that the squeakers are sewn into their own fabric pocket inside the toy so they don't just fall out with the fluffy stuffing. That way they work longer and if you're concerned about your dog swallowing the squeakers you can get take the squeaker out yourself once your dog [inevitably] removes the stuffing.Also the outside off the toy lasted a long time after its insides were dismantled. It gave my dog several weeks of fun just shaking it around and tugging on it until a day when he was frustrated enough to shred it. But most soft toys don't last this long with my dog. I'm not sure what it's made of though so avoid letting the dog swallow it.
Still going strong after several years use. These tuffy toys are so strong that they are carried and tugged on by our 5 bulldogs. Really a good toy.
Great Toy This is a great toy. It is one of the few toys my GS puppy can enjoy for a long while. He absolutely loves to play with it and carries it every where should we have to go out.
Only thing that stands up to our bully! We have a bully that LOVES squeakers! I have bought toy after toy after toy! She SHREDS them! UNTIL I bought Tuffy's Ultimate Dog Bone! She LOVES it! She has had it 6 months now and has not torn it up yet! AND both squeakers still work! One is getting a little weaker but if she hits just right it squeaks loud! She likes to walk around 'popping' it in her mouth just to hear it squeak. I have bought everything imaginable from Nylabone to 'nonstuffinginvicible' toys. She goes through them like they're nothing. I HIGHLY recommend Tuffy's products if you have a big dog that love's squeakers and is tough on toys. She did get a hold of the stitching on the side the first week but I kept it trimmed back & have had NO problems what so ever since!!! I will be buying more!!! She also has a Kong which she love's to have treats in.
Tuff enough to last 3 months Considering how much I paid for this bone my 11 month old English bulldog popeye and I are satisfied that this bone lasted 3 months but I wish it would've lasted longer. Normally stuffed toys only last 30 minutes to 1 week in his possession but I don't mind because I purchase them from big lots for under $5. Tuffy's are a bit expensive to me but I will definitely purchase another one soon.
