bought it for future foster dogs but my cat's in love! I bought a Christmas version of this dog at Marshalls because my husband and I plan on fostering dogs after my 14.5 year old cat has passed on. Figured we would stock up on the essentials in the meantime. Anyway. I brought it home and set it on the cat's condo tower thing and my cat the 14.5 yr old started attacking it and playing with it! Squeeky and all! Hahaha. She bites this toy and kills it like its prey. She especially loves it's carrot nose. Knaws on that. It's held up to much abuse and looks practically brand new! I'm constantly picking it up off the floor after she discards of it when she deems it is 'dead'. She prefers to toss it off the 6' shelf of the cat tower poor Loofa.
Great for cats too I have a cat that likes to play rough. She finally destroyed the Kong Kickeroo wrestle toy she inherited from her late predecessors it did take quite a beating over about a year and a half before it started to hemorrhage stuffing to its credit so she needed a new one.I got her a bigger Kickeroo with a fluffy tail but saw loofa dogs on the way to the cash register and thought what the heck they're $6 I'll get her one of those tooif it's made to stand dog jaws surely it should survive being rabbitkicked by a wrestling cat right?Well so far so good! She's been wrestling with Bobo as I have dubbed him all day. When she isn't wrestling with him or trying to bite his head off she's carrying him all over the apartment. And as I type this she has just figured out how to make the squeaker work and shizzle just got real over here.So yes it's marketed as a dog toy. Yes it's a lot bigger than a thing one would normally think of as a cat toy. But if your cat likes to kick and wrestle you might give it a try.
Depends On Your Dog PerhapsOr Perhaps Just Junk I suppose the life expectancy of this toy depends on your dog. I have an 11 month old Golden Retriever. He is very rough on his chew toys and ones made of material and stuffing are among his favorites but last only a few weeks. So I didn't expect this toy to last beyond that. However I also did not expect the toy to last just minutes.Our dog got the Loofa toy today Christmas! as a stocking stuffer. He immediately liked it fetching it and being amused by its squeaker. But in less than an hour he destroyed it. Now he is a puppy and a very active chewer but I would expect a dog toy to be made a little better so it can withstand some moderate chewing.
Love it Or should I say our little Pekingese does. Frankly I think he has too many toys but couldn't resist this one. He does enjoy it quite a bit.
Gone in a flash Ordered this based on good price and other reviews. Arrived quickly and without issue for which I was pleased. Packaging and etc. I have no complaints about. However the reason I give one star is that this lasted only about 30 minutes. I have a yearold 65lbs Rhodesian Ridgeback and I happily gave him his new toy to play with while my wife and I ate supper. Within the time it took us to eat about 3040 minutes the toy had been torn in half and stuffing spread across the living room.
12 Loofa Dog Background on my dog I have a pure bred rat terrier she weighs 12 pounds and is about 16 inches long and about 16 inches tall. She is 10 and still acts like a puppy.She loves toys that look like small animals but she has a tendency to tear them apart and pull all the stuffing out of them pretty quickly. This is what Rat Terriers do.This toy is a little different she loves it and looks hilarious running around with it. the squeaker sounds a little bit like a mooing cow which is also pretty funny. She sleeps with it in her bed and uses it as a pillow and she isn't trying to rip it apart like the other toys. She really enjoys playing with it but I think she is literally in love with it.As a dog owner I couldn't ask for anything more. This is a high quality toy. Solid stitching and materials. I expect it to last a bit longer than her other toys.
Our Blue Heeler Loves Them. She's rough on all kinds of toys and this one doesn't last long not only because she fetches and shakes it around like a bear with a fish but because our beagle gets jealous of her playing with me and tries to ruin every toy she gets. Still it makes both of them more active in the winter months and inside the house and for the price you can't go wrong. They are easily replaced.
Made my dog very happy on Xmas! My dog ripped this present open and just loves it. If you've every had a Loofa dog before it's the same thing just really long. It's durable enough that we can play tug of war though I'm sure if my dog gets bored one day he's gonna rip off the feet and ears.I'm not sure what it is about the Loofa dog that is so appealing but my dog absolutely loves it. This toy has two squeakers in it head and tail.
pups love this my two puppy's love this toythey look so cute when they both are trotting off with it togetherwhen they do settle down with it they each get to chew on it at the same time since it's long and they are small.
Not really a sturdy toy but lots of fun I have 4 very large golden retrievers and they loved their toys on Christmas morning. They're not the hardiest of toys and my dogs destroyed 2 of them right away but they loved the 2 squeakers and seem very attached to the remaining toys even now. If your dog loves to chew on things then I'd advise you to either buy something a bit more solid or monitor them to make sure they don't ingest the squeakiesI'd buy them again the shipping / purchase experience was fine.
