Dog Loves It I have a retriever mix and a rottweiler mix. I recently tried a West Paw Tux and both dogs really enjoy it so I decided to try the Twiz as a Christmas present. Since it is not intended as a chew toy and I don't think it can withstand the rottweiler mix chewing on it it turned out to be a toy mainly for the retriever mix. That being said the retriever mix LOVES it. She's been carrying it around for three days now. Also the twisting legs make it a fun challenge to get treats out from the inside.
AMAZING! I have had this toy for a few weeks now. My belgian shepherd will be a year old this week and I got it for him after reading about the lifetime warranty. He chews up EVERYTHING! This toy doesn't even show the wear and tear that it has survived. My pup and his Chessy mix sister have been using it for tug of war and it is constantly in one of the four dogs mouths. I have fostered MANY dogs and can't stop boasting about how wonderful this product is. I have gone back and purchased more for our pack and for friends dogs that chew like crazy. I have become a faithful West Paw customer now.
Extremely disappointed. This toy lasted sheer minutes before it was shredded into a million pieces by my pit bull see customer image. I'm very disappointed I've had decent success with two of WestPaw's other toys the Hurley bone and the Zogoflex. I would not recommend buying this for any dog who can chew anything with even moderate force. From a company that calls their toys durable this magnitude of destruction in a matter of minutes is pretty pathetic.
Nice idea for a dog without teeth Our 1.5 year old black lab mix must be part shark because this toy was missing one of its feet in less than 5 minutes of play time. The other foot followed within 24 hours. This is really too bad because he seems to enjoy carrying the thing around the house. My guess is this is a better idea either for a much older or much smaller dog.
OK but not indestructable I have a couple of the other dog toys from West Paw that have survived my 9 month old Aussiedoodle but this one isn't holding up as well. He's chewed off about 12 inches of both ends during the 3 weeks we've had it. Most toys he chews up within minutes so I guess three weeks isn't too bad but the other toys show no sign of wear at all. Now that the ends have been chewed off he doesn't seem to want to chew on it as much so maybe the rest of it will stick around for a while as a go fetch toy.
