10 minutes and a puppy killed it. This toy showed immediate wear by my 40lb puppy who isn't spastic with toys. She was just making it squeak and already there are jagged tooth tears all over the toy. Due to the obvious ease at which she could tear this thing apart I took it away before she has a chance to swallow bits of it.
Woo hoo JW! Okthis is the best toy ever. After dumping hundreds into indestructible stuffed toys that were instantly shredded kongs that were picked up and immediately abandoned and overpriced tennis ball launchers that result in me running more than my dog this ridiculous little bear is my chew happy 40lb lab mix's pride and joy. This thing has lasted for over a year only broke down because we leave it out in the yard and the sun/rain eventually got to it and has entertained my dog for hours on end.
Not for chewers I bought this toy because my understanding was that it was designed for chewers. My 40 lb dog loved it for 2 days. On day one the ears were chewed off and she was choking on the pieces. On day three the squeaker no longer worked. This company made a heavy duty green bear that my dog has used for 2 months with minor damage. Disappointed this one wasn't as sturdy.
Great toy even for heavy chewers. My dog the destroyer of all things squeaky has had this toy for nearly a month and it's still going strong. I examine it every few days and there aren't even any chunks missing yet. I'm not sure if this toy is extra tough or if the awkward shape just makes it harder to teat apart but she loves to play with this toy and I love that I'm not going to have to buy a replacement every other week. It's a winwin.
Better than others like it This doesn't have parts like legs or feet that can be chewed off easily. Very important for those dogs that like to destroy things.
jw pet bear dog toy medium these toys are great for aggressive chewers like my minidachshund but they are a little expensive. he still chews thru them and get the squeaker out. so it's like wasting 5 ot 6 dollars for 23 minutes of playing..but he loves them..better than chewing thru in 23 seconds which is what is usual for a toy bought thats 23 dollars..they are a great toy..
