Great conceptnot a real challenge Like the thought but it was too easy for my dogs and quality/durability not greatI love the interactive toys but this one falls short of any type of a challenge for my 3 dogs.
Item is NOT as described! The actual toy is great! My dogs love it and my house looks like a squirrel massacre! However the item name needs to be updated because these are not the Large squirrels. They are quite small in fact. I know this is the wrong size because I've already bought the actual large toy and the squirrels are much bigger! I will keep the product because my smaller girls can enjoy them but I would like the name to be updated so that no one else orders the wrong replacement squirrels.
Great toy but not very challenging Both of my dogs had a blast with this toy. They have a tendency to be pretty tough on squeaky/stuffed toys but after two months we still have one squirrel left and the tree. They were way more interested in the actual squirrels. The only complaint that I might have is that it was too easy for them to get the squirrels out of the tree. If you're looking for a puzzle to keep your dog trying at for a while this isn't the right toy. It does however make three great squeaky toys.
Good Toy but not durable. I have a male boxer. He really likes playing with the squirrels but they don't last long. There is an air bladder inside the squirrel that tends to get crushed. After that they don't squeek anymore. He still plays with them but not as much after they stop squeeking.These would probably be great for a smaller dog. For my dog I now try to get toys meant for larger dogs so that they last longer.
Yellow lab loves them I have purchased these products multiple times now. They are my puppy's favorite toy. We call them her guys and have had to create a guy hospital to repair them on a regular basis. The only reason I can't give them five stars is the fact that she DESTROYS them.
Our Dog loves the Kyjen Squeakin' Animals Replacement Squirrels! My German Shepherd loves the Squeakin Replacement Squirrels.The only trouble is the squeakers last only a few daysfor my dog. She still carries the squirrels around and chewson them softly. We play hide the squirrel with herin the cellar.
Happy dog My dog loves these chipmunk/squirrels. She runs around with the things in her mouth and they are easy for her to squeak. She has a stuffed log that they fit in and she can search them out herself when they are in there.
My Dog Loves These! I have an 80LB Golden Retriever mix and she loves to play with these. She has a soft mouth so she hasn't destroyed any of them. We've had the originals for over a year and I just now added the refills so now she has six squirrels to tug out of the stump. The refill size squirrels are definitely smaller than the originals even if the description says large. We now have 3 adult squirrels and 3 adolescent squirrels. Four stars instead of five because the refills are smaller than the original large sized squirrels.
Thank goodness for replacement squirrels! Durable It took my very energetic and playful puppy seven months to finally put a tooth hole in the side of one of his squirrels. He loves them so much that I had to buy the replacements. I think it is pretty amazing that all even the injured one still have their tails.Easy to Locate He is a soft coated wheaten terrier who buries his favorite things in furniture and other places all over the house. Now that we have five squirrels I can usually find one.Still Squeak Unlike many of his squeaky toys the two original unpunctured squirrels still squeak after 8 months of frequent and daily play. OTOH maybe the dog rotates them through his hiding places to minimize the wear on those Very Important Squeakers. Could he be that smart? Identity The dog and I firmly believe these are squirrels. Everyone else calls them chipmunks. That is the only drawback of this toy having to listen to people argue that these are chipmunks.
squirrels to the rescue taking care of someone elses dog when you've never had a dog is a challenge. ziggy came with squirrels and the tree house and was i glad he did. one squirrel was put into the dog bed by the dog shortly after he got here and slept with him every night. he had so much fun with the other two i bought some to have when he next comes. they are very durable unlike other stuffed toys that fall apart the first day. they seem to be just the right size for him to carry around in his mouth and he is over 50 pounds. i ended up buying some for a friends dog too.
