Dangerous product This product should not be on the market. The plastic is so thin that any dog could tear it apart to get at the treats. My dog did it less than 5 minutes and ATE the plastic pieces he had torn up. If I could have rated this item 'no stars' that would be more accurate. If you want to keep your beloved pets safe DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! There are two interactive toys which are of significantly better quality and therefore safer.
Great Food Dispenser But Too Easy This is a great treat/food dispenser. My Shetland Sheepdog really likes it. She pushes it around with her nose and smacks it with her paw. My only issue is it is too easy. I can fill it up with 1/4 cup of kibble and she will have them all out in 2 mins. I was hoping it would entertain my dog for at least 10 mins.It is a more difficult than a typical round ball food dispenser because of it's odd shape but it's still too easy for my dog. Other than that it's great.
Chewed up instead of played with The toy was easier for my dogs to chew to pieces than it was for them to engage and play with it. Thus it lasted less than a day.
Too Simple to Get Treats Out My dogs love to roll it around to get the treats out and they also love to just play with since it bounces so easily in different directions. However the hole is too wide and the treats fall out too quickly. So it is not really a challenge to my dog. After only a few minutes he has emptied it and is looking for more. Would be 5 stars if the hole was smaller to keep a dog busy for longer.
Not durable enough for my dog I thought this would keep my dog busy for a while with little treats so that he wouldn't be so bored while I'm at work. So I put in a handful of treats put it on the floor and let him discover it. Went into the other room for a minute and came back to a toy with a much larger hole in it He decided just to cut to the chase and chew the treats out rather than roll the toy around. Lasted about 4 minutes. Thankfully I found all of the pieces of plastic and he hadn't eaten any. Not durable enough for my German Shepherd.
Stay away from this thing Received this item from Amazon and immediately put in a return request for it. The plastic is hard and I could tell that my dog was going to destroy it within a few minutes. I received a notice from Amazon that said I could keep the unit at no cost so I decided to try it out with pup and see if my initial thoughts were wrong. They weren't. Within the first treat I shoved into the thing my 9month old Australian Cattle Dog ripped away the bubble with the hole in it to get to the treat. No only was the toy destroyed but it presented a choking hazard for my dog if he decided to try and swallow the plastic pieces he tore off.Totally disappointed in this thing even with it being free and would not recommend it.
My dog loves this My dog Chase gets bored with his food so we've tried a few different feeding toys. The atomic treat ball is always a treat for Chase. He knows it's mealtime when he gets the ball & he has a blast playing with his food.
After the foods gone The toy was wonderful and kept our dog occupied for quite some time. Unfortunately I was distracted and didn't take it away from him once the food was gone and he began to chew at the hole.If I had taken it away and not let him chew on it it would have been fine.
my dog's favorite toy My dog a 100 lb. malamute adores this toy. I purchased one of these about 15 years ago for my previous dog and he loved it too. Our routine is to put some of his kibble in the ball and let him knock the ball around while I get ready for bed at night. It's a great distraction and the snack before bed helps him sleep through the night.Although there are other products out there that basically do the same thing i.e. the Buster Cube this has always been a favorite. I'd looked EVERYWHERE for another one over the years and could never find one. I lived in fear that ours would be lost and our night time ritual would be ruined.
Not Durable When I was looking for new interactive toys for my year old golden I went to advandced search which allowed me to pick durable for strong chewers. This toy appreared so I was under the impression it would last more then a daynot true! This toy was destroyed within minutes! My golden started chewing it apart from the small hole that is used to dispense food/treats.
