Not for a hard core chewer! My one year old Beagle is a tough dog to find a toy for. She is literally focused on destroying whatever toy she gets by chewing it to shreds.I had high hopes for the Hard Core Fire Hose dog toy. Within the hour she had the squeeker ripped out. By the second day the toy was shredded 50% and bits of rubber and fabric all over the house. I removed the stuffing from it as soon as she had ripped out the squeeker so we were spared that mess at least.I really wish this toy was indeed hard core but I am afraid I cannot recommend it if you have a hard core chewer.
waste of money My 8 lb. Chi chewed the ends off of this in 10 minutes. the fire hose part might hold up but the binding on the ends is crap. I keep trimming off the threads but I should just throw it away.
Don't waste your money I bought 2 medium and small for my 2 dogs medium Irish water spaniel and small terrier.Within 1 1/2 hours the medium one was totally destroyed and the other one damaged.
Misleading picture This item does not have the pull cord. The one shipped to me is just the red hose part. It is durable but I would have bought a different one because I my dog likes to play tug.
Chocolate Lab Puppy loves it! Our 5 month old Chocolate Lab puppy/Australian Kelpie mix LOVES this toy. Shes played with it for days now and so far she hasn't destroyed it. That being said we also provide LOTS of rawhides and chewtoys for her to teethe on so this new toy isn't the only thing she plays with and could therefore extend the life of the toy. Its tough yet soft enough that she can mouth it with her sore gums. I would not recommend this toy for dogs with nothing else to chew on and those dogs who are high energy because it will not last. But for 7$ it keeps her occupied and she leaves my furniture alone.
Looks can be deceiving. To a human this appears to be indestructible but not to my Wheaten puppy. He was able to bite through both black ends and hose underneath with ease. Oh well.
The only toy my dog can't totally destroy I have a young Standard Poodle that can chew most other dogs under the table. Oops forgot she chewed up the table. And the window sills and every dog bed and dog toy we've bought for her. I'll admit within a day she had chewed the end straps off of this toy. But then hard as she tried she couldn't get through the rest of the toy. She has now lost interest in it.
Thought I was buying something tough You call this toy tough? My puppy destroyed this in about an hour. Our quest for the indestructable dog toy continues.
Only took 2 days! Don't waste your money. The main section of this toy the firehose is okay the stictching on the ends is pathetic. It only took my lab puppy 1 day to tear into the stiching which ultimatley ended with him tearing into the firehose section by day 2.
great toy for tug/fetch THIS IS NOT A CHEW TOY. The bad reviews on this toy are because people bought it for THE WRONG PURPOSE. This is for interacting WITH your dog with tug and fetch.
