Really bad design15 lb terrier ripped it apart Kong Squeeze ball medium and Lrge. I have a Cairn/Aussie Terrier mix she weighs 15 lbs and she was able to destroy the medium Kong Squeeze ball in just a few playdays. I usually supervise playdays and let them play with these sort of toys and them remove them but she tore it open exposing the inside roll so i took it away for good much to hse great disappointment as it was fast her favorite toy.So i will be trying the orka ball next.She is an aggressive chewer.
Good but squeaker doesn't last We have purchased the KONG Squeezz stick before and wanted to try out the ball for our two golden retrievers. Although they were immediately drawn to the ball the squeaker was killed in less than 4 minutes.
Too hard to squeak I bought this ball for my 35pound whippet/shepherd mix after I was informed by Kong that the SqueakAirs are not chew toys. Please see that product for that rant. Kong recommended I get this ball instead.Problem it's too hard for my dog to squeak! She's got hefty shepherd jaws but she can't get it to squeak. I can't get it to squeak easily without using two hands either. Unfortunately without a good squeak she loses interest very quickly. With the squeakairs it was like having a lab she would have gone all day if I'd let her. This ball? 5 minutes tops.I can't speak to how well they hold up because. she loses interest. So far it hasn't broken although I can easily see what the other reviewers mean about the ball coming apart.Kong if you're reading this please find a happy medium between the squeakiness of the SqueakAirs and the durability of this ball.
Awesome dog toy!!!! Our Vizsla and daughters love playing with this ball. Our daughters throw the ball and he retrieves it for them. The three of them play for 30 minutes or more. I would recommend this toy for a dog that likes to retrieve and play fetch. It is not a chew toy. He loves to squeak it all around the house as well but we only have supervised play. We have been enjoying this toy for a month or more.
Failed in 15 minutes Bought this 'large' ball for my small dog 14 pounds thinking the large size might last. The end piece that was glued on ripped in 15 minutes. I have yet to find a kong squeeze toy that lasted. The harder more solid 'chew' toys do hold up.
Dissapointing Purchased this ball and gave it to our pup who is not distructive. The glue came apart and the ball broke open after squeeking it a few times. This was less than 15 minutes after she started playing with it.
Meh My dog really loves this KONG ball but top part of the ball is now ripping. She doesn't destroys any of her toys so when I noticed it was falling apart I was a little disappointed. Maybe they should have made it a bit more stronger than the other KONG items. Anyways I give it 3 starts because my dog loves it and it lasted a good amount of time.
8 year old Boxer loves it My boxer loves squeaky balls but he usually dismantles them within minutes. This ball has lasted us months and it's still his favorite squeaker. Plus the irregular shape makes it harder for him to chase so he has fun running after it. He also loves the Kong Air squeaky tennis balls but those he is able to remove the squeaker in a day or two.
Danguerous ball I got this ball from Kong and I am dissapointed. The ball got broken easy but that is not the worse part. My dog when he was chewing the ball got his nose stuck in the sides of the ball causing him a scratch and difficulties to remove the ball from his mouth. I threw away this ball to the garbage because it is a bad and danguerous product.
My shepherd's favorite toy and yes the ends fell off. My 70 lb German shepherd is a very powerful chewer. We took a chance with this because she destroys tennis balls in 2 minutes but loves to play fetch. Yes it didn't take long for the ends to come off and the squeaker lasted a day or two longer. But what remains is her favorite toy. When it rolls under the couch she moans or digs at the carpet until someone retrieves it. The remaining ball is not ripping or showing signs of wear. It rolls and bounces without a problem. We are very happy with it.
