Dog doesn't chew on it We can't get our dog to chew on this thing even with treats inside and trimming back the little rubber fingers. I put peanut better inside to entice our dog but she just licked the peanut butter. I will change my review if she ever starts using this toy. 45 lb 7mo Weimaraner/Chessi mix.
Bone Appetit My lab mix who reduces any toy except black Kong to pieces has accepted this bone as a treat dispenser and that's it! When it is empty he abandons it with no further chewing!!! Sorry that I can't give any advice on how this came about except that the first few times we were sure to take it away before he could chew it as the middle section is not strong enough to withstand those jaws. Somehow he understands and it is amusing to watch him gingerly work to get the treats out of the ends. Since labs are prone to weight gain but continually hungry we keep a bag of small carrots in the fridge. These small carrots fit well in the bone and he thinks they are a fabulous treat.
It's an OK product This product is great to distract the dogs for a little but this product is not as great as the others offered by the same company.
Not as challenging as I thought it would be.. Our 7 month old lab mix likes this toy but the kibble falls out pretty easy so it doesn't realy take her long to get it all out. Made solid though and will last a long time.
My dog is too dumb for this toy It seems to be a decentquality toy and it's a cute concept but my dog has a brain the size of a raisin and couldn't figure out that 1 there was food inside and 2 how to make it come out. It's not the toy's fault. I'm considering keeping the toy and returning the dog for a refund instead.
Dog doesn't destroy this one! I have a dog who will work over a toy obsessively and this one is holding up to the challenge. I think having treats inside that fall out on occasion gives her something to work towards other than destruction. I first bought this toy a couple years back for a dog who wouldn't work to get the treats out it's quite difficult. But now with the 10 month old puppy it's a perfect distraction.
Good durable toy We have owned this toy for about 3 years now and it has been well worth the money. These are way better than the Kong toys because of the little rubber peices in the opening. These peices prevent all the treats from just falling out so easily and it makes it more of a challenge for your dog.We have been using this as one method of feeding our black lab. We load some of his food it holds about .25 or .5 cup into this toy. After quite a while of heavy chewing I found the first signs of wear recently but it is still useable. The rubber is finally starting to form a crack on the inside of one opening.Great purchase and will buy again.
This review is for the really tough chewer version purple xlarge of this toy My 3yo Lab mix absolutely LOVES this toy. He was a little unsure about how to use it with the little rubber teeth inside but with them snipped a bit shorter he got a little more interested. Now he plays with it and chews on it whether or not it is stuffed and it keeps him occupied for up to 15 minutes at a time without my presence in the house did I mention separation anxiety? *sigh*. These days whenever I give him the toy he starts throwing it up in the air and bouncing it on the floor immediately and gets his treats out of there. Now I have the related
Great Toy Our Basenji mix LOVES this toy! It's one of his few toys he doesn't instantly try to devour.
My dog's favorite toy EVER My 65lb pitbull has had this toy for about two years now. She will tear up tennis balls and stuffed animals but she is intelligent and preserves this toy. She comes to me about twice a day to fill it up for her. She naps with her head on it sometimes. She knows this toy by name. I can tell her to Go get your waggle and she will bring it to me and drop it at my feet. She brings it to visitors in our home. She LOVES this toy.It is great mental stimulation although at this point she has a system down to get the treats out pretty quickly. haha. She could chew the toy up if she wanted to but she respects what this toy can do so she doesn't.We are just now needing to replace this toy because visitors have played tug of war with it with her and ripped it a little. We have definitely gotten our money's worth. Can't wait to get her another one.
