My Great Dane Loves the Sol Ball I have a very playful 5 year old great dane and needless to say she destroys tennis balls with ease. We used to get her the petco oversided tennis ball but they tended to get split in half to easily. I wanted to get a Tuff toy and it seemed like something that she would like. It comes with hole to stuff with treats. The one thing to know is that the material is some sort of plastic which is fine and durable but if you have a slobbery dog like mine it will get a bit slimmy and pick up stuff from the floor hairs carpet etc So it can be a bit gross after a bit. I just wash it off occasionally and its as good as new.
Loved it! Super long lasting for heavy chewers! My black lab loved it! He's a heavy chewer & destroys everything except this ball. ITS SUPER STRONG AND LASTS FOREVER!Other awesome features1. Its flexible so he can get a grip on it and carry it in his mouth inspite of his size2. Its super bouncy even more than average tennis balls3. Its flexible but regains its original shape as soon as its released4. Glows in the dark so no worries about it lying around on the floor in the night5. It smells of mint. The mint smell does NOT fade with time. Which is great to solve dog bad breath problems6. Perfect for fussy players. My dog is very picky but loved this ball.
Disappointed It took our pit bull less than an hour to tear a huge chunk out of this ball. Will continue my search for toys that last more than an hour.
Pleasantly Minty and Fun but Definitely NOT Indestructible After reading all the glowing ha ha ha reviews for the Luna ball I had high hopes that we had found the perfect toy for our recentlyadopted dog a 60 lb. pitbull mix. Sure enough she immediately LOVED it and we were thrilled to see her having so much fun with her new ball. In fact she loved it so much that unfortunately two hours later the Luna ball had been punctured torn and chunks were missing. Clearly I was a little too optimistic about Luna's claims of nearindestructibility given our dog's determined and slightly obsessive chewing habits. Admittedly in retrospect we probably should have taken it away from her sooner before she hyperfocused on destroying it. However as a point of reference she has yet to destroy any of her black extreme kong toys and we give her the kong with peanut butter every night to chew on in her crate.Despite our mild disappointment with the Luna ball I am considering purchasing a replacement since our dog loved it so much. If I do I will limit her playtime with it to no more than 2030 minutes at a time and hopefully it will last longer than a couple hours.
Still standing strong Bought this weeks ago & with two chocolate lab sibling puppies toys get a major workout around here! This ball is still standing strong.
Interesting toy I got this toy for my pit/lab mix Max. He wasn't able to destroy this ball because it's pretty big 6 8 inches round. I could see how another dog could easily destroy this ball. There is a hole about 2 inches where you can put treats into the ball. This is where some dogs wedge their teeth into the ball and start chewing to open it up. The seems of the ball may also be a weak spot where weatherization or prolonged use could open these seems up.This is a very bouncy ball that has a mint smell. The downside to this ball is that it picks up dust and dirt due to the static cling and the make of the rubber.
Big dog nemesis! I've got two Labs 8090 lbs each and they DESTROY balls. Used to get the Jollyball Horse toy and they'd destroy it in less than a day. Been thru a dozen 'supposedly' Big Dog toys all so far a waste of $. We've had this ball ~1 1/2 months and it's still going strong playing 13 times a day. Their favorite thing is to fetch it then both grab a mouthful of ball and have a violent tugofwar for posession drop it then do it again. The soft flexibility stretches and bends and so far neither has penetrated the surface with their teeth.
Dog loves it! I like the luna ball a lot and my dog loves it! My 9 month old Australian Shepherd is crazy about balls. We have already bought him a few soccer balls each one was destroyed faster than the one before it. But he loves them so much that I knew I had to find him something doggy proof. I ended up buying him this and the
vmosh I have an American mastiff and haven't found a chew toy to last other than the nylabones. I admit I was a little hesitant to get the Orbee ball but had heard it will outlast the biggest and toughest chewers. My Mastiff was so excited when he got his Orbee ball. He even slept with it. I am just amazed it has lasted and is just as intact as when I first got it. He's not been able to break off any pieces.
