Tough toy! My dog a 30 lb. moderate chewer is pretty good at destroying even the toughest toys. This toy has made it past the first hour and doesn't have a scratch on it! She loves the fish and squeaks it quite a bit. Even gnawing on it with determination didn't hurt the toy. I continue to be impressed with this brand of dog toy JW Pet.
our dog's favorite toy! This is our greyhound's favorite toy. The squeaker lasts longer with this toy than any other. When I come home our dog brings me his toy and shows off how much fun he has playing with it. The unpredictable bounce delights him for hours. It is a companion for him and the best gift we can give him. The seller delivered this item quickly too.
Very durable My dog usually gets a piece of a toy chewed off in like 10 minutes or gets the squeaker out in about 5. Needless to say that many toys don't last a day with her. She has had this for about 4 days now and we see no appreciable damage and she has been playing with it a few hours a day. Well worth the price when you figure that most of the time we end up throwing a toy away within an hour of getting it home. We received the blue one not the orange one pictured.
BEST & ONLY TOY THAT HAS LASTED WITH OUR LAB! Our yellow lab Buddy joined our lives 15 months ago as an eight week old pup. Yes we know what labs are like and at our age what where we thinking? We were thinking we thought we were done with only a old girl cat & and a loud parrot left. We had gone through a rough couple of years with loosing two of our cats and three of our dogs. Old age catches up to animals to.But when we saw our buddy with the Ruffians orange fish dog toy hanging from his mouth as he came running up to us. Well it was over for both my husband and I. Memories of ole' Sam our chocolate lab and all the crazy things he did in the six short years just went out of our minds.We took him home with toy in mouth and thought how cute he was as he squeaked his loved toy. I will not exaggerate when I say this dog can CHEW!! He has been using the black hardest kong on the market by three months. But his loving orange fish carry not a missing anything and that cute squeaky noise has stayed right along with it. If any negative thing were to be said is don't be on the receiving end of my phone call if Buddy and Mr. Fish were playing. The squeak sound for some reason is only bad then. There hasn't been a dog toy stated for tough chewers that Buddy has had me return in pieces to pet stores as they state that no way can he destroy this toy. The looks are all but funny when I come in & say well this one made it 10 min..I have looked for a Mr.
I expected better I bought this item because a dog friend has this toy and it's the hit of the dog park! The small end makes it easy for large and small dogs to run with it in their mouths while the large end is good bait to start a chase or for the larger dogs to steal it. The squeaker isn't terrible and it's not going to pop out easily like other toys.Unfortunately the item I got is not of the same heavy material that our friend's Fish is made out of and is not holding up to our one dog never mind the crowd at the park.
Best Dog Toy Ever I have a Collie mix Bailey and this is by far her favorite toy. I first purchased one in the store. It has a good squeak and is very sturdy. It's survived much chewing and many games of fetch. She adores her squeaky fish. I decided to purchase extras in case anything happens. Of all the toys she has this is her very favorite. It's well constructed and safe for her to play with all day. I would recommend this fish to anyone with a playful dog.
Dog did not like This toy is well made but did not appeal to my dog. He is 90lbs but the medium size was large possibly too large for him to enjoy. Will donate to shelter.
Only lasted for about 30 minutes My lab is about 55 lbs and she tore into this toy in about 30 minutes. Within 5 minutes she tore off the small fins on the tail. Then she went for the small holes that allow the toy to squeak. The holes are squared where it is attached so she found it quite easy to get her teeth into it and rip it right out of the fish. I was very disappointed seeing this had so many good reviews.
Not same quaility like the one that lasted for a year and a half. Oh how I wasted for this item to arrive for my puppy best friend Buddy. When we got Him over one and a half years ago Buddy picked out this toy and came home with it and it has been his best friend ever since. His was the same color shown and design as the one shown in the description picture. We had to go to California this Christmas to have a last Christmas in the old family home and help move my mother in law into her new retirement center. Anyway I was very unhappy when this two toys I purhcased didn't make it in time to before we left and my Buddy took is old friend with him. I bought another product from this company while I was as the pet hotel for him to have. However he wasn't as happy with it as his favorite orange fish guy. Upon returning from California and racing to pick my Buddy guy up I was in shock to find that the toy I had purhcased him from this same company was torn desqueeked and torn and he seemed like his new fish toy I had brought him was of a so so manner. We road home and in the twenty minute ride he had already put a couple of holes in his new YELLOW not orange squeeky fish and a bigger hole in the oter toy. As bad as I feflt I had to take the new toy away as it was the squeky part he was pulling out. When we got home. He grabed is ORANGE squeky toythe origianal one and was so napppy. I have put away both the detroyed YELLOW Fishy squecky and the new one still in the wrapper. I don't know what to do with then at this time.
It IS tough We bought this because it looked like it would last with a really mouthy golden retriever puppy. We've been using it a month and it is holding up. A grown really bitey labrador played with it for a week and could not puncture it. It has a nice random bounce when thrown.
