Puppy won't chew it. Our 30 lb. 3 1/2 month old puppy won't chew on it and she's a chewer. I have filled it with doggie peanutbutter and have stuffed treats in it but all she does is lick the peanutbutter that's easy to get or chews the ziggies down and then she's done. Then I need to clean out all the peanutbutter that is stuck in the center and along the indented parts. It doesn't really occupy her for very long. She really does like Bully Sticks though but they are expensive. I almost returned this item but someone told me she'll chew it and like it more as she gets older. I paid 9.99 at a local pet store.
Destroyed in minutes We have a 30lb dog who likes to chew and he destroyed the end of this toy in minutes. The gaps between the rubber provide too much for a dog to grip to and pull on and then it is destroyed.
Dog soother Fill the cracks with peanut butter and you've got a great crate soother for a pup when you have to go out. Seems to be lasting well so far and it's made in the U.S.A.
NOT durable like other KONG products ! Beware I have a 13 1/2 lb. ShihTzu/Yorkie mix. She is a chewer so I got the Medium 1535 lb. rated Medium Stick. I added a treat & luckily I supervised the puppy the first time I gave her the KONG Dental Stick. Within 510 min. at the most she had several chunks of rubber off the end of the stick. In the past the only toys I gave her when totally unsupervised were KONG toys. This product is definitely not nearly as durable as their other items. Unless your dog is a very gentle chewer this is NOT a safe item. I have never had a problem with a KONG product before but I DO NOT recommend this item.
super product My dog loves kong. The vet says his teeth are great no tarder. That saves me $$$ on teeth cleaning.
Not as strong as most kongs My 80 lb labmix liked this thing in the beginning it was hard for me to stuff though but started chewing off the ridges. Now he's nibbled down the two ends. I have many MANY other Kong toys MANY! and this one and the tug toy were by far the most prone to wear. Add to that the difficulty stuffing it and I don't think I'd buy it again.
My golden retriever loves this! I throw this instead of a ball. When it hits the ground it sometimes bounces in a really random direction so it adds that variation to the fetch game. Plus the dog's teeth stay clean and white.
Not typical Kong quality My dachshund is a power chewer and up to this point all of his Kong toys have been indestructible. Within 20 minutes of giving him this toy it was falling apart. Total waste of $$.
Don't buy this! If your dog is a strong chewer at all don't buy this toy!! My mediumsized golden retriever chewed through the rubber ends on this in less than 5 minutes! He enjoys other Kong products but this one's a bust don't buy it.
